If you are marrying in a house of worship, it is a good idea to check with your officiant ,to find out what types of floral decorations are allowed before ordering ceremony flowers.Some houses of worship expect the ceremony flowers to be left there after the ceremony is over, as a donation to be used in their services.Remember some houses of worship can be ornate and large, so they can easily swallow modest floral arrangements.Elaborate wedding flowers can also be distracting from the most important element, you.

Make IT Last

If you are getting married during the hot summer months, the flower selected needs to hold up to the summer heat. Ask your wedding florist for blooms that will not wilt
You might want to order an extra boutonniere for your Groom, so it will look fresh in all of the pictures, because it needs to stand up threw all of the hugs

Be Daring

Break the tradition and select wedding boutonnieres that are non floral ; berries, beer hops,
computer chips, wire,small branches, buttons

Be Cost Effective

Contain your list of boutonnieres to key players, best man, groomsmen, FOB(father of the bride),FOG (father of the groom), grandfathers, ring bearer or brothers of the bride or groom

I couldn't sleep, some how I naturally woke up (with out the alarm) right on time -5:30a!

Wow, this was different. I watched as a young girl Diane walk, and walk down the aisle,so I had to watch the Princess Bride take her place in the spot light to assume her new role.

What a beautiful day

What a busy wedding floral season we have had! During the down season, it gives us a time to reminisce on the past year weddings. The color purple reigned supreme. Purple has always brought to mind royalty, passion and Prince. My team and I loved being surrounded by the year's most popular color as it kept us in a good mood while cleaning and striping thousands of purple 'Cool Water' and 'Sterling' roses.

What a beautiful sunny day it was, when my girlfriend said, "I do". I was asked to design the wedding flowers as well as be a guest. After all the weddings I have been a part of, I still get excited when I receive an invitation in the mail. Before thinking about the type of flowers to be used and what type of centerpiece would look good, I think, oh no, what am I going to wear.

Darlene wore a beautiful chiffon a-line dress with sweetheart neckline, accented with lace trim. The bridesmaids wore aubergine, satin strapless dresses with silver embroiderey accented with rhinestones.The groom and his men wore classy dark suites with plum neckties. The flowers were designed in a variety of purples. Stock, roses specialty carnations, statice, light purple calla lilies, tulips all added to the beauty of the day. To be continued.......

Details- at first that word might bring to mind something small and insignificance , however little things mean a lot.When planning your wedding please, please, please, don't forgot the little things the Details. At first galance, one might think the big things will care for the littles things in planning your dream wedding, but remember the bigs things are large enough to be concerned about them selves only. It require attention for it to be taken care of. I can't tell you how many times I have seen the straw that broke the camel's back. Is it important to alphabetize your escort cards? You and your groom probaly will not want a line that takes your guest forty five mintues to find their seat. Will your guests want to sit through forty five minutes of speeches while your friends recall every detail of grade school? Are you really married without an accurate marriage license? Details, details, details, My intent is not to give you wedding nightmares, but rather to encourage you to pay attention to the -Details!

The right date doesn’t just involve you and your fiancé, but involves family and friends. Giving your date some very careful considerations will help you choose the most appropriate time for all involved. Here are a few considerations:

How much time is needed to prepare your dream wedding? If you have considered hiring a wedding planner and want to plan it successfully, give the planner at least one year. The planner will appreciate the time and will have access to the best vendors. The early bird gets the worm!

Check for any conflicts for your parents, family, potential attendants and close friends. Are there any graduations, another wedding, vacations, or a pregnancy/birth that conflict with your date? I am sure that as soon as you are pronounced “Husband and Wife” that you and your nine month pregnant matron of honor would not enjoy her water breaking?
