Take Romantic Wedding Pictures before the Ceremony
Many brides prefer not to see their grooms before the ceremony, for fear of spoiling "the first look"
Now what? Let the wedding planning, wedding dresses, and wedding flowers!!!! Begin. You might feel a sea of emotions and mesmerized by the blinding bling you might begin to feel a little over whelmed at thought of becoming a Bride, and the idea of what to do first. The first thing to consider is how long the engagement will be. Engagements can last between six months, to a year and a half. You and your fiance might need to keep in mind these factors

Wedding Date

Time needed to prepare

Budget

Family Obligations

Start spreading the news. Share the news with both sets of parents first, if possible in person or over the phone. Although we live in the technology age resist the urge to shoot them an email, this method is a bit impersonal. If there are any children from a previous marriage, they should be told first. You may then choose any method of announcing your engagement that suite the both of you. Please use caution when making the big announcement if:

Recently widowed

Recently divorced

Having doubts

There is no need to start a beautiful union, with gossip and drama, (save the drama for your Momma).
Shout it on the mountain tops, tree tops, and roof tops but make sure your love is tops!
I want the wedding ceremony to be breathe taking, you may think, but how can I stretch my floral budget?

If you are marrying in a house of worship, it is a good idea to check with your officiant ,to find out what types of floral decorations are allowed before ordering ceremony flowers. Some houses of worship expect the ceremony flowers to be left there after the ceremony is over, as a donation to be used in their services.Remember some houses of worship can be ornate and large, so they can easily swallow modest floral arrangements.Elaborate wedding flowers can also be distracting from the most important element, you.

If you are marrying in a nondenominational ceremony in a banquet hall, or other space that might need a little help there are some cost saving ideas the you can incorporate:

Re purpose- Tall reception centerpieces can be placed on pedestals/columns at the front, back and center of the aisle

Pew ends(every two or three rows for cost-effectiveness) can double as chair-back decorations

A Blooming arch can be reused over the sweetheart table at the reception

Use potted flowers, ferns, or palms

Fresh petals on an aisle runner will add a splash of color

Try to visit the ceremony space with your wedding florist, they should be able to suggest the best post spots to display floral arrangements and decor.

It might seem like a minor detail, but the bloom for your Groom is very important. This small but, VIP player in the wedding will be seen in the majority of photos and will also continue to carry out the overall look and feel of the wedding.Consider these factors when selecting wedding boutonnieres:

Make IT Last

If you are getting married during the hot summer months, the flower selected needs to hold up to the summer heat. Ask your wedding florist for blooms that will not wilt

You might want to order an extra boutonniere for your Groom, so it will look fresh in all of the pictures, because it needs to stand up threw all of the hugs

Be Daring

Break the tradition and select wedding boutonnieres that are non floral ; berries, beer hops,
computer chips, wire,small branches, buttons

Be Cost Effective

Contain your list of boutonnieres to key players, best man, groomsmen, FOB(father of the bride),FOG (father of the groom), grandfathers, ring bearer or brothers of the bride or groom

Draw the line unless someone is performing a specific role(readings, poem, etc)

Be Romantic

The groom often wears a flower found in your bouquet

Present your groom's boutonniere to him and pin it on for him as a surprise (and a great photo opt)

Boutonnieres are generally worn on the left of the lapel. While they may seem like a minor detail, just remember, details will make it your wedding.
However there are some things you can do to maximize your budget.

Choose a hand tied bouquet - they are less time consuming and labor intensive

If your must have flower is very expensive use it sparingly - only in your bouquet and the grooms boutonniere ,not the bridesmaids

Use it again for the head table decor- allowing it to pull double duty

Remember, your flowers accessorize you and add memorable touch to your day.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11164378074497239843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2365131662927879735.post-54885144484040663122011-11-07T13:14:00.000-08:002012-04-11T19:37:39.588-07:00Floral Showcase #1 What is your style?Today's wedding should reflect your personal style showcase who you are as an individual. Dumb! Who needs corsages? Where does the mother of the bride sit? When should we cut the wedding cake?
What is the difference between a rose and a tulip? What is the difference between a hand tied bouquet and
a cascade? What side should the boutonniere be pinned on?

The questions could go on and on and on. We will try to tackle the most difficult questions and provide the
simplest solutions.

What side should the Bride walk down the aisle?
The left side always on the heart side. The Bride's family also sits on the left side and the Groom's family sits
on the right.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11164378074497239843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2365131662927879735.post-18406641430741704702011-05-04T21:49:00.000-07:002012-04-11T19:37:39.557-07:00Royal Wedding Flowers
I couldn't sleep, some how I naturally woke up (with out the alarm) right on time -5:30a!

Wow, this was different. How much of my total budget should be spent on wedding flowers?

How much you actually spend depends on many different factors
such as: How important are flowers to you? Type of flowers you
choose? Are they in season? The size and the complexity of the
arrangements? You should plan on spending between 7% and 9%
on wedding flowers.

When should I book my florist?

Any where form 8-6 months prior to the wedding
Your choice in flowers effects the overall mood and
style of your wedding. The flowers and decor will effect the
small details of your wedding like the style of your invitations, programs, escort
cards, place cards and more. The flowers and design you select is like building a set for a
movie or a play, it effects the tone of the wedding.

How can I maximize my budget?

Re purpose your wedding flowers. Flowers can be used for the ceremony
and the reception. Look beyond blooms, use fresh fruit, feathers, candles to
add interest and reduce your budget. Decorate guest table centerpieces in
half tall arrangements and short.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11164378074497239843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2365131662927879735.post-11970494326224033012011-01-17T20:05:00.000-08:002012-04-11T19:37:39.546-07:00How To Trim Your Budget
Platinum weddings are great for platinum wallets but, silver shines just as bright!

Lavender is a hot new color for weddings for 2011. You can add a new twist to it by making it soft and romantic by playing up the lavender, or whimsical by playing up the greens and hot pink. The choice is yours, tap into your inner Bride!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11164378074497239843noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2365131662927879735.post-67774428425592831292010-04-11T20:46:00.000-07:002012-04-11T19:36:33.824-07:00Transform Your VenueWhat can you do to transform your venue? Is everything right about it except "it needs a little something"?
You want the platinum look for less, but the pretty centerpieces aren't quite doing the trick of giving you that fairy tale look.Don't despair, try ceiling draping to give your venue that fairy tale look. Disguise your room with soft, airy, light fabrics that will transport you and your guests to a land of romance and mystery. Fabric can hide all the imperfections of the boring venue that lacks in WOW factor that you had your heart set on. Coupled with colored wall washes, you will feel that you have been whisked away to a fairy tale dream.

Use One Type of Flower- using one type of flower can save on your overall budget while adding drama and impact

During the down season, it gives us a time to reminisce on the past year weddings. The color purple reigned supreme. Purple has always brought to mind royalty, passion and Prince. My team and I loved being surrounded by the year's most popular color as it kept us in a good mood while cleaning and striping thousands of purple 'Cool Water' and 'Sterling' roses.

What a beautiful sunny day it was, when my girlfriend said, "I do". I was asked to design the wedding flowers as well as be a guest. After all the weddings I have been a part of, I still get excited when I receive an invitation in the mail. Before thinking about the type of flowers to be used and what type of centerpiece would look good, I think, oh no, what am I going to wear.

Darlene wore a beautiful chiffon a-line dress with sweetheart neckline, accented with lace trim. The bridesmaids wore aubergine, satin strapless dresses with silver embroiderey accented with rhinestones. The groom and his men wore classy dark suites with plum neckties. The flowers were designed in a variety of purples. Stock, roses specialty carnations, statice, light purple calla lilies, tulips all added to the beauty of the day.
